Ok, so what would you do with it? I mean initially. Where would you put 875 million dollars? It won’t fit in your wallet or purse or even your house. That would be 8.75 million bills (if all were $100 bills). But what if some bills were smaller and you had hundreds of millions of bills to manage? Would you even know how to handle that much money? How would you transport it? Could you get it to the bank? What would you do? (You’re smiling just trying to figure it out!)
Guess what? The blessings of God can be described in similar fashion for those who sow bountifully. His promise is that He will “supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality…” (2 Cor. 9:10-11). God supplies, multiplies, increases and continually enriches us!
God’s challenge is this – give freely and liberally see “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it” (Mal. 3:10). What an awesome, overwhelming thought! Better than $875,000,000!
