Let's Go Back to the Bible

Disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing

In our nation today, we are surrounded by individuals who immediately and automatically disagree with what someone says simply because of the person who is saying it. Certain people disagree with everything the President says (no matter what), or everything a Democrat says, or everything a Republican says, or everything a certain news agency says, etc. They don’t really listen to what is being said, as they’ve pre-decided to disagree no matter what.  2019-05-22-Disagreeing-for-the-sake-of-disagreeing

May I suggest that there is a reason that God gave us two ears and then put them on opposites sides of our head? While there is obviously an anatomical reason for this, also consider the practical reason–God wants us (1) to listen [so He gave us ears], (2) to listen to more than one opinion on a matter [so He gave us two ears], (3) to listen to opposing sides of an argument [so He put our ears on opposite sides of our head], (4) to intentionally research and rationally consider both sides [so He put our brain in between our ears]. Let us learn to disagree with others based upon knowledge and truth, rather than hatred, anger and prejudice.
