Do you ever look up at the sky and wonder, “Will today be the day that Jesus comes back?” Do you ever look up at the sky and pray that today will be the day that Jesus comes back? One day it will be “that day.” Oh, what will that be like?
His return will be sudden and unexpected. People did not know the flood was coming “until the flood came and took them all away” (Matt. 24:38-39). Jesus will come “at an hour you do not expect,” just like a “thief” does not post “what hour” he is coming (Matt. 24:43-44). Exciting!
He will return “with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God” (1 Thess. 4:16). That will get your attention! Everyone will see Him coming (Acts 1:11). “All” of the dead will “hear” His voice and come out of the graves (John 5:28-29). Then, every person will be taken from this earth (1 Thess. 4:17; 2 Thess. 1:8-9; 2 Cor. 5:10). Exciting!
