The various generations covering the last 100 years or so have all been given their own names: the “Lost Generation” (1883-1900), the “Greatest (or G.I.) Generation” (1901-1924), the “Silent (or Lucky Few) Generation” (1925-1945), the “Baby Boomers” (1946-1964), “Generation X” (1965-1980), “Generation Y” or the “Millennials” (1981-2000), “Generation Z” (2000-Present).
Do these verses from Proverbs describe you or your generation? “There is a generation that curses its father, And does not bless its mother. There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes, Yet is not washed from its filthiness. There is a generation–oh, how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are lifted up. There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, And whose fangs are like knives, To devour the poor from off the earth, And the needy from among men” (Prov. 30:11-14). Wow! Does God know people? And those words were written 3,000 years ago! People haven’t changed! Sin hasn’t changed! Fortunately, God hasn’t changed!
