Let's Go Back to the Bible

Does your God bear loads or dump loads?

What kind of God do you serve? Is He the kind who bears your loads? Or is He the kind who dumps loads on you? Here’s some good news! If you serve the God of the Bible, He’s both!

The translation of Psalm 68:19 is interesting. While the major translations have two different ideas, both are advocated in Scripture elsewhere. The ASV and NASB have, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears our burdens…” What a wonderful thought! He bears our loads every day! “Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you” every day (Psa. 55:22)!

The KJV and NKJV have, “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loads us with benefits…” Wow! He not only takes our loads of burdens, but He also gives us loads…loads of benefits every day! “Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits” (Psa. 103:2). “All spiritual blessings” are in Christ (Eph. 1:3), where we are blessed abundantly more than we deserve (John 10:10).

What kind of God do you serve? The only true and living God, who comes and bears your loads of burdens and replaces them with loads of blessings! What an awesome God!
