Let's Go Back to the Bible

Cannot say strong enough how much to trust God!

Psalm 71 is abundantly wealthy in its description of what God has done and continues to do for man and in its clear explanation of our proper response.  The psalmist begins by saying, “In You, O Lord, I put my trust.”  How deeply had the psalmist (and should we) put trust in the Lord?  Notice these vivid and fervent phrases used throughout the psalm to answer that question.

“Be my strong refuge, to which I may resort continually…My praise shall be continually of You…Let my mouth be filled with Your praise and with Your glory all the day…I will hope continually, and will praise You yet more and more…My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness and Your salvation all the day, for I do not know their limits…I will make mention of Your righteousness, of Yours only…Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to everyone who is to come…My lips shall greatly rejoice…My tongue also shall talk of Your righteousness all the day long…”  Can you and I state it that strongly?
