Let's Go Back to the Bible

Are you looking for Rahab?

Sometimes when we are consciously trying to see souls around us and look for prospects for the gospel, we may be so focused on a certain “kind” of people that we may neglect to see those whose level of receptivity is actually open to the Word. Consider for a moment the two spies who went into Jericho.

Who would have thought that Rahab—a prostitute in the city of Jericho—would have been the one who was ready to receive God’s people and demonstrate a faith in “the LORD your God,” who “is God in heaven above and on earth beneath” (Josh. 2:11)! It would have been so very easy to overlook Rahab.

May we learn a lesson to not put souls into categories but to see the desperate need of each one for the saving power of the gospel! While many in our world have turned their back on any kind of faith, there are still honest, searching hearts who are craving to know about God and be right with Him! Let’s not overlook the Rahabs!
