It happened again. Another story came out about another celebrity who had a “wardrobe malfunction.” She placed the blame for a part of her body being “unintentionally” exposed on her wardrobe “malfunctioning.”
Seriously? How are young people today going to learn to take responsibility for their own actions when they hear that you can just place the blame on an inanimate object? The reality is (and we do live in a reality, not a fantasy) that people (and I could say “we”) must take responsibility for their choices. There are plenty of “wardrobe choices” that are not going to have a “malfunction” and expose that which should not be exposed, but it is up to each person to make those choices, own their choices and not divert the blame for poor choices.
God places each of us squarely responsible for every choice we make (cf. 2 Cor. 5:10; Ezek. 18:20). Rather than cast the blame, let us make wise choices and then fess up when we mess up!
