Our societies dwindling interest in Christianity (and even the once expected Sunday activity of “church-going”) is becoming more and more apparent. When businesses are now open on Sundays that once were not, when little leagues sports are now scheduling games for Sunday mornings, it is obvious that few have any interest in attending a “church service” themselves, and they have little regard and even disdain for those “weak-minded” individuals who do.
How shameful it is that the NBC television network, the Commission on Presidential Debates (responsible for sponsoring, producing and scheduling the debates) and the GOP Presidential candidates themselves all thought it was a good idea and agreed to have a debate at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. What is happening in our society that makes that seem to be as normal and accepted as fireworks on the Fourth of July? America, wake up! Christians, speak up!
