Let's Go Back to the Bible

Who’s on first?

It is THE funniest bit in comedy–Abbott and Costello’s “Who’s on First?” It is one of those classics that never gets old and shows how real humor doesn’t have to be vulgar.

Now, when it comes to your prayer list, “Who’s on first?” Who is on your prayer list? If you’d like a creative way to remember and keep up with your prayer list, without even writing it down, then assign everyone on your prayer list a position on the baseball field. Put someone on first base, second base, third base and shortstop. Put someone on the pitcher’s mound and behind home plate. Put someone in left field, center field and right field. Now, when you get ready to pray, just go to each position and pray for that person. If someone comes off the list, then you bring in a replacement. If you have more than nine people on your prayer list, create a second team (you need two teams to play a game), but put them in a different color uniform. And if you have more than 18, start a “Prayer League” and pray around the field. Now, who’s on first?
