Let's Go Back to the Bible

Two different reactions

As a major hurricane is forecast to strike, there are often two very different reactions. For some, it seems that panic sets in. Their own personal Terror Level reaches DEFCON 1 and everybody else had better watch out. For others (on the other end of the spectrum), they are rather nonchalant about the whole thing. If it comes, that’s fine. If it doesn’t come, that’s fine. They’ll get prepared and not allow the hype to distract them.

It’s not an exact parallel, but one day there will be two very different reactions to another coming. This time it will be the Son of God coming, not a windstorm! For some, it will induce panic–they’re not ready! For others, it will trigger an excited relief–they’ve been waiting!

One major difference: with a hurricane, there is plenty of notice; but with the return of Jesus, there is no notice! Are you ready? Not for a hurricane, but for the glorious return of our blessed Redeemer and Friend!? What a day of rejoicing that will be! (At least for some!)
