It is happening all too frequently! People’s personal accounts and identities are being stolen and then used — as if that person is YOU. It is so frustrating to know that your privacy has been violated and that someone else is using YOUR name in ways that YOU never did and ways that YOU never would! To make it right, YOU are forced to intervene and say, “That’s not ME!”
Aren’t you glad and relieved to know that something like that can NEVER happen in YOUR relationship with God! No one else can steal YOUR spiritual blessings from YOU! No one else can steal YOUR forgiveness, YOUR reconciliation or YOUR inheritance! No one else can pray to God and fool God into thinking that they are YOU! God is not going to accidentally (and unknowingly) dispense His gracious providence on someone else, thinking that it is YOU! No one else can get into heaven using YOUR name, only to leave YOU on the outside-looking-in when YOU find out that they stole YOUR reward! God is not like Isaac, who can be duped into thinking that Jacob was Esau! With God, YOU are YOU! And YOU always will be!
