In your opinion, what is the best thing about living in America? Freedom of speech? Freedom of religion? The abundance of food available? The 
advanced technology all around us? There are many great things about living in this country! But, if your favorite thing(s) disappeared or was taken away, would that mean that living here would not be worthwhile?
May I get you to think about a different answer than those already proposed? May I get you to think about an answer that would apply to living in any country? In fact, may I get you to realize that the “best thing about living in America” is found right in the question itself? It’s “living”!
The best thing about living in any part of the world is LIVING! The Declaration of Independence got it right–“…all men…are endowed by their Creator with…Life.” The apostle Paul said it first, “God…gives to all life” (Acts 17:25). You are alive! That is a gift from God! Every moment of every day is a blessing from above! Now, what are you doing with that remarkable gift?
