Let's Go Back to the Bible

Speaking + truth + love = growth

Equations are funny things. They work every time the same way without fail and without exception. One plus one equals two every time without fail and without exception. Bible students know that

there are numerous divine “equations” in the Bible, which, as do all equations, work every time the same way without fail and without exception.

One such “equation” is in Ephesians 4:15. Christians are admonished to “no longer be children” but rather, “speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into” Christ. Every part of this equation is essential for the desired result. In order for each of us to “grow into Christ” (the intended result), this particular verse requires three constants: (1) Love. If I “have not love, it profits me nothing” (1 Cor. 13:3). (2) Truth. “The truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). (3) Speaking. “For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard” (Acts 4:20).

Do you have all three constants at work? They will work every time without fail!
