Let's Go Back to the Bible

Parents who don’t care beget kids who don’t care

How often have you looked into a child’s face and seen her mother or his father in the eyes, the nose, the smile, etc.? When they’re born, so many kids resemble their parents in various ways. But, as they grow older, they begin to resemble their parents in other ways.

While every child is unique and all of them will not necessarily fall into this generalized stereotype, children will often emulate their parents’ behavior and general preferences. If a child is raised in a home where the parents don’t care for tomatoes or mangos, often the child will not care for tomatoes or mangos. But, the resemblance goes much further. If a child is raised in a home where the parents don’t care about going to church on a regular basis, or the parents don’t care about showing respect to their fellow human beings, or if the parents don’t care about daily Christian living, then the child will not likely care about those things either.

Parents, look at yourselves! Is that how you want your child to look in 20 years?
