Imagine someone coming into your workplace or your home and tearing the place up, throwing everything on the floor, breaking everything in sight and just making a complete mess. What would you think of that person? How much would that bother you?
Take a moment and consider these words very carefully, “He who is slothful in his work is a 
brother to him who is a great destroyer” (Prov. 18:9). We would not stand for a moment for one to destroy our home or workplace, but God says that one who is “slothful in his work” is kin to the destroyer. What does that say to us as Christians?
What kind of employee are you? What kind of husband are you? What kind of wife are you? Are you slothful? There is nothing wrong with a little rest (cf. Mark 6:31), but the work ethic of a child of God should be greater and his standard of conduct more exemplary than any others! Take responsibility for the roles you have in life! Don’t be known for your laziness!
