Let's Go Back to the Bible

An ant shall lead them

Have you ever walked through your kitchen and noticed a single ant just walking across the floor or across the counter? Did you feel sorry for him, thinking that he might be lost? Of course not! You probably suspected that he was the scout ant, out looking for tasty morsels.

You know what a scout ant does, don’t you? He goes out in search of a glorious feast. When he finds something, he dines to his delight and then takes a sample back to the colony. Before long, there is a steady stream of ants marching to the banquet table and joining in the feast.

You may have never been asked this question before but, “Are you a scout ant?” Have you gone out in search of a glorious spiritual feast? Did you find it? Did you find the good news about Jesus Christ? Did you find the blessed promise of eternal life? Did you find the beauty of His church? If so, have you gone to tell everyone else what you found? Have you led others to the banquet table to join in the feast? That’s what scout ants (and faithful Christians) do! — DS
