Were your parents “fair”? The answer to that may depend on where you are in your life. How many kids have been known to say, “That’s not fair!”? As if children were born into this world with the divine 
standard for measuring true fairness in their parents. No child (slightly overstated) ever thought his parents were always fair in their decisions. (And, honestly, no parent has mastered the skill of being fair in every judgment.) But, later, when that child matures into adulthood, often he will look back and say his parents actually were fair.
Measuring fairness as humans is difficult because we are all imperfect. But we serve a God who is perfect and infinite in all of His attributes. John says that our Lord is “faithful and just” (1 John 1:9). He is just! He is fair! In everything that He does! Abraham said, “Shall not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (Gen. 18:25). Moses learned, “All His ways are just; a God of faithfulness and without injustice” (Deut. 32:4). It is impossible for God to not be fair! You can trust Him! He will do right every time! He will do right by you every time! What a blessing!
