Jeremiah prophesied to Judah of their impending doom. “Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD has gone forth in fury—A violent whirlwind! It will fall violently on the head of the wicked. The anger of the LORD will not turn back Until He has executed and performed the thoughts of His heart” (23:19-20). God was angry with the false prophets—“Indeed they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart, who try to make My people forget My name by their dreams which everyone tells his neighbor, as their fathers forgot My name for Baal” (23:26-27). Israel had forgotten God earlier in their history, and they were on course to do it again.
What about us today? Are there not attempts by “false prophets” to make us forget God’s name? Brethren, “Allah” is not another name for “Jehovah”! Islam is not “akin” in any way to Christianity! While a nation (like the USA) might practice “religious tolerance,” such should not sway Christians into accepting that which God has condemned. There is ONE GOD! There is ONE LORD! There is ONE FAITH! May we remain steadfast and never forget our God!
