No matter what happens this week, God will still be God and we will still be His children. Thus, God expects us to do the same thing this week that we should be doing every other week!
Our God is a God of love (1 John 4:8) and expects us—His children—to love all people (Matt. 5:44). Our God is a God of peace (Rom. 15:33) and expects us—His children—to be peacemakers (Matt. 5:9). Our God is a God of longsuffering (Psa. 86:15) and expects us—His children—to be longsuffering (Eph. 4:2). Our God is a God of mercy (Psa. 136:1) and expects us—His children—to be merciful (Luke 6:36). Our God is a God of kindness (Luke 6:35) and expects us—His children—to be kind to all (Eph. 4:32). Our God is a God of holiness (1 Pet. 1:15-16) and expects us—His children—to be a holy people (2 Cor. 6:17-7:1).
Our God is in control and rules over all the earth, and He expects us—His children—to trust Him and submit to Him and pray for His will to be done.
