Let's Go Back to the Bible

Why Is it Called an “Everlasting Gospel”?

The world is changing at an alarming pace. It was just a short time ago when we knew nothing about iPhones, iPods, iTouch, My Space, Blackberry, Facebook, Twitter, etc., yet these words have become so much a part of our lives. Has there ever been a time when the world was changing so rapidly? What lies in the future? How can anyone stay abreast of all of this?

The truth is that we may not be able to stay ahead of the curve of such rapid progress, but God has. Do you find it remarkable that 2,000 years ago He finished His revelation of His mind in His book? Since that time men of all ages, regardless of when they lived, what education they had or their economic and social position, have been given direction by this one book.

So the next time you pick up your Bible take a moment to realize that while culture changes, His message does not. It is a timeless book in a world dominated by time. The nature of man has never changed nor have his needs. No wonder He calls it an everlasting gospel.
