Let's Go Back to the Bible

Who are you?

How do you identify yourself? Who are you? How does your identity affect your view of life and the world around you? How does your identity impact how you relate to and treat other people?

Do you identify yourself based upon your race? Is that who you are? Do you identify yourself based upon your gender? Is that who you are? Do you identify yourself based upon your age? Is that who you are? Do you identify yourself based upon your height or weight? Is that who you are? Do you identify yourself based upon your political views? Is that who you are? Do you identify yourself based upon your social or economic class? Is that who you are?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions of identity, may I beg of you to reevaluate and redirect the focus of who you are? The O-N-L-Y identity that matters is that you belong to Christ! That’s it! E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G else (race, gender, age, politics, economic status, etc.) falls under this identity! Read Colossians 3:1-4 and Galatians 2:20! This must be who you are!
