Our theme at Palm Beach Lakes for 2009 is “Revive Us Again.” There’s not a single one of us who does not need to be revived in our faith, in our Bible study, in our evangelism, in our fellowship with each other, in our involvement in the Lord’s work, in our prayer life, in serving others, etc. Our tendency sometimes is like a fire—we might be really hot and blazing for the Lord at first, but usually we simmer down to just a soft glow that may not always be perceptible.
You cannot start or even revive a fire successfully by throwing on several big logs. The best way is to start with some kindling to get the fire going, then gradually add the larger pieces of timber. What we need, in order to revive us again, is some kindling! We need some folks who will start getting involved in little ways. We need some folks who will start increasing their own faith and own fellowship efforts—just in little ways, gradually. Do you know the end result?
