Let's Go Back to the Bible

“When all is said and done…”

The expression, “when all is said and done,” is often used to “cut to the chase” and state the conclusion of a matter. The idea is, “When all is said and done, here’s what is left.” When all is said and done, what will be the end result? Think about this for a moment.

When all is said and done, what will I have said in people’s lives that will have made a positive  difference? When all is said and done, what will I have said in people’s lives that will have helped them along life’s pathway toward heaven? When all is said and done, what will I have done to save lost souls? When all is said and done, what will I have done to encourage and restore struggling Christians? When all is said and done, what will others remember about what I’ve said and done? When all is said and done, what will God remember about what I’ve said and done? When all is said and done, will I have said and done all that I needed to say or do?

There will come a time when the saying and doing in this list will be over. What then?
