Let's Go Back to the Bible

“Oh, I want to see Him!”

Sight. It is one of the greatest blessings of life. To see a bride walk down the aisle. To see a child born into this world. To see a sunrise over the ocean. Those who “have it” often take it for granted. Those who do not “have it” wish that they did. In your experience, what has been the most wonderful thing you’ve ever seen? What sight do you wish you could see above all else?

As the apostle John illustrated the beauty of heaven in the last chapter of the Bible, he spoke of “a pure river of water of life…the tree of life…the throne of God.” He revealed that “there shall be no more curse…no night…no lamp nor light of the sun.” Tucked in the midst of this grand picture is this breathtaking thought–“They shall see His face” (Rev. 22:4).

Oh, what a thought! What a sight! Nothing could be more beautiful or more spectacular to behold than the face of my Lord! Rufus Henry Cornelius captured it, “Oh, I want to see Him, look upon His face, There to sing forever of His saving grace.” To. See. His. Face. Wow!
