Just as much as “I don’t wanna be a goat! Nope,” I do “just wanna be a sheep! Baa!” Children’s songs often teach us more than we realize. “Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so,” is about as powerful and meaningful a statement as can 
will ever cross your lips. So, also, the heart that says, “I just wanna be a sheep!”
Read Psalm 23 and John 10 and your heart will shout, “I just want be a sheep!” I wanna be a sheep so that the Lord is my shepherd. I wanna be a sheep so that I can hear and listen to His voice. I wanna be a sheep so that I can hear Him call my name. I wanna be a sheep so that my Shepherd will make me lie down in green pastures and lead me beside the still waters. I wanna be a sheep because my Shepherd gave His life for the sheep. I wanna be a sheep so that my Shepherd will be with me and so that goodness and mercy will follow me.
“I just wanna be a sheep! Baa! With a Savior who my soul will keep! I just wanna be a sheep!”
