Let's Go Back to the Bible

Much More

We must never forget just how much God loves us. It is not because we are loveable or have ever done anything to obligate His attention to us. In fact, the opposite is true. He loved us long before we were ever His children.

These truths are emphasized by Paul in the book of Romans. In the first chapter he described the condition of the Gentiles in his day. “God gave them up to uncleanness, in the lust of their hearts . . . God gave them up to vile passions . . .  God gave them over to a debased mind” (vss. 24, 26, 28).  Then listen to Paul’s description of God’s love. “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. . . .when we were enemies we were reconciled to God” (Rom. 5:8, 10).

It is in this passage where Paul uses the title of this article twice. He proclaims that if God did all of that while we were His enemies and separated from Him, how much more will He do for us now that we are His children! Live it. Experience it—His much more love!
