The church of our Lord was purchased with the precious blood of Jesus Christ. It has as its primary purpose the salvation of souls–reaching out to the lost who have never obeyed Christ, and exhorting those who have obeyed to serve Christ 
lovingly, energetically and faithfully.
Those who are in the body of Christ have the responsibility to guard and protect it, just as one would guard and protect his own physical body. With our attention focused squarely on the church’s primary purpose of saving souls, there is no place for arguing politics in the church, there is no place for compromising truth to adapt to the culture, there is no place for seeking to entertain the masses, there is no place for trying to look like or compete with religious groups that are teaching and promoting error.
One reason the church is so splintered today is because man has imposed his own passions and purposes into the church instead of staying true to God’s passions and purposes!
