Let's Go Back to the Bible

1 of 7 connections

John said, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth” (3 John 4). If that is the “greatest joy,” what would be the “worst sorrow”? Would he say, “I have no greater sorrow than to hear that my children do not walk in truth”? I cannot think of anything worse than that!

Much discussion has taken place over the years about how we can do a better job of keeping our young people faithful after they graduate and move on into adulthood. The answer, statistically, has NOT been found in bigger youth groups, more exciting youth activities and more enthusiastic  worship services. The answer has been much more personal than that!

Some research has found that those young people who have seven meaningful “connections” to the church (apart from the youth program), through inter-generational relationships with church members, have been the ones most likely to remain faithful as Christian adults. Will you be one of the seven connections our youth need to make it to heaven? They need you!
