Let's Go Back to the Bible

Dish TV or Directv?

Do you know of anyone who has chosen to drop cable TV and receive their television via satellite? If you do, let me suggest you share with them a remarkable religious program.

In Search of the Lord’s Way television program is produced by the church in Edmond, Oklahoma and, because of the spread of satellite television, can be viewed around the world. In addition, it is seen by cable in hundreds of cities in America. It is the third most watched religious TV program in America and in some places it is the most popular one. Their website gives the following information. “In Search of the Lord’s Way . . . is currently being seen on 76 broadcast TV stations, 2 overseas TV stations, 45 radio stations and some 205 community cable systems in the U.S. It is also carried several times a week to the entire North American Continent from the tip of Alaska to the Caribbean, by satellite on the Gospel Broadcasting Network and Inspirational Channel carried by Directv and Dish network. The program is also streamed on the internet in both audio and video formats to every nation in the world.”

I suspect that these statistics are not current as the program continues to grow at an astounding rate. I have such great joy when I hear about the spreading of the gospel of Christ. Imagine every Sunday morning at 7:30 a.m. when those who have access to Dish (channel 259) or Directv (channel 364) can see this program. Imagine that over 32,000,000 homes have access by this one avenue of broadcast.

So let me urge you, if you have satellite TV, to make this program part of every Sunday morning. We do it at our house and it sets the tone for a worship filled day. If you do not have this access, tell your neighbors and friends about it. Watch it just one time and you will be thrilled at the clarity in the presentation of truth and the loving spirit in which it is presented.

The current speaker is Phil Sanders, who has been at Palm Beach Lakes on several occasions. Because of this, you know you can tell others about his devotion to God and to His words. Think about this—how do you know that God might not be using you to lead others to the Lord?

Let me also make you aware of the Gospel Broadcast Network which is available 24/7 on the internet at gbntv.org. The program has live telecasts and also rebroadcasts various other television programs produced by congregations around this land.

The opportunities are there. Think of how easy it will be to ask your friends how they like their satellite TV dishes, and then tell them about In Search of the Lord’s Way!
